CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office is cautioning residents about letters, supposedly signed by Sheriff Jensen, that are being left on vehicle windshields.
“THESE LETTERS ARE FAKE AND ARE NOT FROM THE SHERIFF OR THE CACHE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE!,” the CCSO posted Tuesday on Facebook.
The sheriff’s office says it has received multiple phone calls reporting these bogus letters, which claim that the vehicle will be impounded unless the owner brings the vehicle to the sheriff’s office.
“If you find one of these letters on your vehicle, please disregard it,” the Facebook post says. “As a reminder, the Sheriff will never leave a letter on your windshield.”
Anyone who has any concerns is asked to call the CCSO at 435-755-1000.
