Centerville Officer and Tire Store Manager Come Together to Help Local Woman
CENTERVILLE, UTAH – June 18, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – One of Centerville Police Department’s officers and the manager of the Tire Factory in Centerville worked together to help a woman in need who had been stranded on Parrish Lane with a flat tire.
“When I stopped to assist her I could see that she had a flat tire and then after inspecting her spare, I knew that would not last her either,” said officer Rolynn Snow. “I worked with an incident management employee, Alan Peterson, and everything we tried just didn’t work so we put the spare on, and slowly escorted her to the Tire Factory to help her get her tires fixed.”
Officer Snow said the woman then placed a call to her ex-husband, who he could hear yelling at her for getting a flat tire. “I felt so bad for her, she was in tears when she got off the phone with her ex,” he said.
He was able to sense she was struggling and had very little money. “She told me she was a single mom and didn’t have a lot of money but she gets paid the next day and she promises that she will come back and pay for the tires,” said Snow.
Taking his wallet with him when he entered into the Tire Factory, Officer Snow discussed the issue with the manager Bill and told him that he would be willing to pay for the tires. “I have known Bill for some time and offered to pay for her tires so she would not have to. Bill is such a great guy, he insisted that I not pay for them, that the Tire Factory would cover the cost and make sure she was taken care of,” said Snow.
Which just shows, it’s always a good idea to pay it forward.
These two guys deserve a pat on the back. Thank you both for your services and paying it foward.
Great job Bill of Tire Factory AND Officer Snow ! That is what it is all about. Ed
