EMERY COUNTY, Utah, March 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Colorado man died when the car in which he was a passenger rolled on Interstate 70, near Milepost 150, on Tuesday afternoon.
A Utah Highway Patrol news release said the accident occurred at about 1:41 p.m., when a black Hyundai SUV traveling west on I-70, about 10 miles west of Green River, went off the left side of the highway.
The SUV then came back onto the interstate and rolled approximately four times, coming to rest on its top.
In the SUV was a family from Colorado — an adult female driver, an adult male passenger, and two small children, the release states.
The adult male was killed in the crash.
The other occupants were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in stable condition.
UHP said all occupants were properly restrained, and impairment does not appear to be a factor.
Has any Hyundai Santa fe vechicle safety defects been reported to have caused passengers death?
