Police Locate Woman Who Used Credit Card Stolen From Trax Stop
WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – July 13, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — West Valley Police Department has located a woman who tried to use a credit card stolen from someone at a Trax stop. Store cameras captured the incident.
WVC Police Department turned to Facebook to help find the woman involved in this case. They updated today that she turned herself in after the case received significant attention via social media. “She has been interviewed, as well as others who have some connection to this case,” the department said in a statement. “The investigation into this incident is still underway. We want to say a huge thank you to all of you who shared the post and worked to help us identify this person. Our detectives can’t possibly recognize every person in every surveillance photo. Social media is another tool in our tool belt to help identify suspects and more quickly bring people to justice. Thanks for working with us on this case. When we work together, crime doesn’t stand a chance!”
