WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, July 1, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Dollar Ridge Fire, 4.5 miles southeast of Strawberry Reservoir, started at about 1 p.m. Sunday and is so fast-moving, by early evening people in the area were on notice to be ready to evacuate.

By 7 p.m., the fire had consumed an estimated 2,500 acres and was still zero percent contained, Utah Fire Info tweeted.

Homes and cabins along Strawberry River and Camelot resort are on a pre-evacuation notice as the Dollar Ridge Fire moves toward Duchesne County, Utah Fire said on Facebook.

Initially reported as 20 acres burning in timber on private property, by 3:30 p.m. the fire had overtaken an estimated 1,500 acres.
