BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, UTAH – September 30, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A driver who suffered an unknown medical condition and passed out rolled his dump truck in Big Cottonwood Canyon Wednesday afternoon.
According to Unified Police Detective Jared Richardson, the 30-year-old driver was headed down the canyon and after passing out, the truck flipped onto its side and spilled its load across the highway.
Richardson said the incident happened around the Storm Mountain area of Big Cottonwood Canyon, milepost 4 but UDOT crews have been able to clear the accident quickly.
The driver was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
