SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, June 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Evacuation orders issued Saturday for a Saratoga Springs neighborhood were lifted after firefighters gained the upper hand on the Glambert Lane Fire, a wind-driven brush fire that burned 175 acres on the north side of Lake Mountain.
The fire was reported at 3:17 p.m. by homeowners who spotted smoke west of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Saratoga Springs Utah Temple, according to Saratoga Springs Fire & Rescue.
As flames spread, firefighters evacuated 15 homes on Mahogany Street as a precaution while crews worked to protect nearby residences. Officials said no additional homes were threatened as suppression efforts continued.
Strong winds made suppression efforts difficult, according to Utah Fire Info.
Firefighters from Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Unified Fire Authority, Utah County and state agencies responded to the blaze, which received air support as crews worked to slow its advance.
At 6 p.m., Saratoga Springs Fire & Rescue announced the evacuation order had been officially lifted. Residents were expected to be allowed back into their homes by 7 p.m.

Authorities repeatedly urged the public to stay out of the area, saying sightseers were hindering emergency vehicles. Officials also warned against flying drones near the fire because aircraft were being used in firefighting operations.
The fire was later turned over to state fire managers. Crews were expected to remain in the area for several days to extinguish hotspots and monitor conditions.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No injuries or structural damage had been reported.
