Paramedics in Rollover on I-15 Upgraded

SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH – July 24, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Two paramedics and the patient they were transporting have been upgraded to fair condition after being seriously injured early Friday morning when the ambulance they were in rolled on I-15.

Trooper Cameron Roden, Utah Highway Patrol, the paramedics as well as the patient are all doing better and are expected to fully recover.

UHP says the ambulance they were driving was just north of 12300 South around 2 a.m. when the patient grew violent and tried to grab the steering wheel.

The ambulance rolled at least once, coming to rest at the side of the road.

The EMTs were taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray in serious condition.

The patient they were transporting was taken to Jordan Valley Medical Center. He is also listed in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing, we will continue to update as more information becomes available.
