HURRICANE, Utah, May 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials say unkempt vegetation and weed growth contributed to a fire that damaged the exterior of a Hurricane home Saturday afternoon.

Crews responded just before 3 p.m. to a fire at 3715 W. 165 North, Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue stated on social media.

“First arriving units got on scene within 5 minutes and were able to knock down the fire shortly thereafter. Damage was isolated to the exterior of the home and no injures were reported,” the post says.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation, officials said.

The Hurricane City Police Department also responded, the post says.
