Fire leaves Jeep a metal ‘skeleton’ in Washington County

PINTURA, Washington County, Utah, Feb. 17, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A fire made quick work of a Jeep, chewing it to an automotive skeleton.

Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze Monday afternoon near 5248 N. 100 East in Pintura, the agency said online. 

“Once our crews arrived on scene, they encountered a Jeep Wrangler that was fully involved.

“The sole occupant was able to get out of the vehicle and reported no injuries.”

Three units from Hurricane Valley were able to contain the fire to the vehicle.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Also responding were deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
