VERNAL, Utah, May 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Bradley James Moore, wanted after police say he fled the scene of a May 6 shooting in Fort Duchesne, has been taken into custody after a SWAT standoff in Vernal.

“Early this morning, the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team located and arrested Bradley James Moore at a home in Vernal,” says a statement released by the FBI’s Salt Lake City office.

“Moore barricaded himself in the home for 90 minutes before he surrendered. He was booked into the Uintah County Jail on an unrelated warrant.”

The U.S. Marshals, FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs have been searching for Moore, 32. The house where Moore was found was about 28 miles from Fort Duchesne.

The 22-year-old victim of the shooting initially was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He has since recovered and been released from the hospital, the FBI statement said.
