Hurricane City PD releases name of woman struck, killed by vehicle

HURRICANE, Utah, May 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Hurricane City Police on Thursday identified a 66-year-woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday on State Street.

The woman was Tammy Lynn Crouse. She was struck while in a crosswalk at 700 W. State, and died from injuries sustained.

“The Hurricane Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Crouse’s family member and friends during this difficult time,” the HCPD statement says.

“The Hurricane Police Department would also like to remind motorists to slow down, remain alert, and be aware of their surroundings while driving each day.

“Pedestrian safety remains a priority, and drivers are encouraged to exercise caution, especially in marked crosswalk areas.

“The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.”
