MILLCREEK, UTAH – August 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder is calling the outcome of Saturday’s Millcreek hostage standoff “bitter-sweet.”
Two women were shot and critically wounded during the four hour ordeal, but Sheriff Winder says things could have gone much worse.
In a statement to the press, the Sheriff praised the performance of the tactical weapons teams, saying their experience and professionalism likely prevented mass casualties.
