WEST JORDAN, Utah, May 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A male juvenile died Saturday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in West Jordan.

West Jordan Police Sgt. Andrew Hercules told reporters that officers were dispatched shortly after 7 a.m. to 9100 South and Mountain View Corridor.

“When officers arrived, they determined that this accident appears to have just been a single vehicle crash and no other vehicles were involved.

“I’m not sure if weather was a factor or speed was a factor,” Hercules said.

Hercules advised anyone riding a motorcycle to be aware of best safety practices. He also asked drivers to be aware of other vehicles, including motorcycles.

“We’re starting the 100 deadliest days,” he said, referring to the days between Memorial Day and Labor Day when driver fatalities greatly increase when compared to the rest of the year.
