KAYSVILLE, UTAH – September 15, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A Layton man who police say robbed a Walgreens Pharmacy for narcotics has turned himself in.
Kaysville Police officers were called to the store at 210 North Main Street Monday around 8 a.m. on a report of a man who had passed a note to the clerk demanding controlled substances and indicated that he had a gun. He did not show the gun to the clerk.
The pharmacy clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of controlled substance and he left the Walgreens on foot.
Officers had to place several area schools on lockdown since the suspect was on foot and may have had a weapon. Officers were initially placed at the entrance of the schools to monitor and assist students who were already on their way to school. The lockout was lifted a short time later.
