OGDEN, Utah, May 6, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man in Ogden shot a neighbor’s dog after he said it attacked him Sunday morning.
The incident happened at about 10:40 a.m., Lt. Will Farr, Ogden Police Department, told Gephardt Daily. Police responded to the scene, on Ogden Avenue near the 700 block.
The dog was not killed, and it was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment of its injuries. Farr said the condition of the dog is unknown.
The shooter had minimal injuries, and was treated at the scene by medical personnel, who applied a dressing, the officer said.
Farr said police were still investigating the incident to determine whether the man shot the dog in self-defense.
