MIDVALE, Utah, Feb. 28, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A carjacking in Midvale turned into a kidnapping and home burglary in West Jordan Saturday night.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the incident started sometime between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Maverik located at 7728 S. Main St. when a man claimed three men approached him and put a gun in his face, demanded money and forced him inside his vehicle.

“He was forced into his car by three males,” Hoyal said. “He was only able to describe the suspects as one Hispanic and one Caucasian male and was unsure of the third suspect’s description.”

Hoyal said the victim told officers they drove to his home in West Jordan and “secondary crimes occurred at his residence” that are under investigation by the West Jordan Police Department.

Officer Michael Harvie, West Jordan Police, said their detectives are working with the victim on reports that after the suspects arrived at the victim’s residence they tied him up and burglarized his home.
