PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH – August 23, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – One person has been killed and another injured after a fiery crash Sunday on I-15 in Utah County.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. when the driver of a southbound Toyota Cruiser smashed into the back of van parked in the right hand emergency lane.
Troopers say the van exploded in flames as it was flew across the highway and landed against the highway divider in the far left emergency lane.
The lone occupant of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Cruiser was taken to the hospital. His condition was not disclosed.
The UHP says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
