Multiple fatalities reported after vehicle plunges off cliff in Weber County crash

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, July 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Emergency personnel are on the scene of a fatal crash in a remote area of eastern Weber County.

According to emergency dispatchers, the accident took place early Saturday morning in the Middle Fork Canyon area, when a vehicle reportedly carrying as many as seven people drove off a cliff.

Scanner traffic from first responders indicated there were multiple fatalities with two other victims in extremely critical condition. Three others reportedly suffered minor injuries.

At least one medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene to help with rescue efforts.
