GREEN RIVER, UTAH – November 5, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Bad weather is being blamed for a nine-vehicle pileup in Green River Wednesday night.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, just after 6:30 p.m., a man driving a Toyota 4Runner lost control and hit the Green River bridge guardrail. The vehicle came to a rest in the middle of the bridge and a second truck, a Ford F-150, collided with the 4Runner.

A strong storm brought several inches of hail and slush, and due to low visibility, several drivers were unable to stop before becoming involved in the collision. In all, four semi-tractor trailers and five passenger vehicles were involved in the accident.

Three people were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, with various injuries; one is in critical condition. Several other people were transported to the Green River Medical Center for minor injuries.
