OHV driver dies in Wasatch County rollover

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The driver of an off-highway vehicle died Monday in a rollover accident in the Snake Creek area.

The accident was reported to the 911 Center at about 10 a.m., the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Sheriff’s deputies, Utah State Parks, Search and Rescue, EMS, and Life Flight responded to the scene.

“Two occupants were on the OHV and reportedly lost control while traveling down an embankment. The passenger was able to jump from the vehicle prior to it rolling,” the news release said.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

“The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our condolences to family and friends at this very difficult time,” WCSO said.

The sheriff’s office also expressed appreciation for “all of our first responders for their hard work and professionalism.”
