EPHRAIM, Utah, Dec. 13, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A pickup driver died Friday night after a collision with two school buses on U.S. 89, near Ephraim.
From one of the buses, two people were airlifted to an area hospital, and 16 others were transported by ground ambulance.
The pickup truck was headed south on U.S. 89 at about 8:30 p.m. Friday “when it went left of center,” a Utah Highway Patrol statement says.
“Both buses were traveling northbound at that same location. The pickup truck grazed the first bus and then struck the second bus, head on.”
“The second bus, that was struck head-on, contained 17 students plus the driver. All 18 individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with varying injuries, with two occupants in critical condition being flown by air ambulance for medical treatment.”
