SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 6, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City Police Department said Christopher Brown 24, and Tanner Herrera 23, were in the Macy’s at 15 S. Main Street on Saturday, July 4 at 4:51 p.m.

SLCPD said the two were together in the store when Brown selected a baseball cap and layered it under the hat he was already wearing.  Brown then left the store, making no attempt to purchase the hat. Tanner followed at a distance. A loss prevention officer from Macys attempted to stop Brown; Tanner produced a knife and demanded the loss prevention officer to let Brown go.

The two then fled the scene. Salt Lake City Police Officers working part time at City Creek gave out descriptions of the suspects. The two were located near the City Creek Harmons. Both were booked into jail for aggravated robbery, theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
