MURRAY, Utah, March 27, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have detained four adults located inside a stolen U-Haul truck that may have been used in a strong-arm robbery of a Millcreek Domino’s pizza earlier this month.
Unified Police Department Sgt. Cody Stromberg said one of its officers was conducting some pro-active patrol work in the area of the Baymont Inn & Suites at 4465 Century Dr., Murray.
“He located a U-Haul truck that has potentially been identified as a vehicle that took part in a robbery in Millcreek on March 18,” Stromberg said. “Our officers converged on the vehicle and located and detained four adults — two males and two females — inside. The vehicle and the occupants will be detained and processed to determine their involvement, if any, in a robbery case we are investigating.”
Stromberg said one of the males does match the surveillance photos from the Millcreek robbery of a Domino’s Pizza.
“Our violent crime detectives will respond to the scene and conduct interviews to see if they have any involvement in that robbery,” Stromberg said.
He said the robbery was considered strong-arm, meaning the suspect presented a note to say he had a weapon, but no weapon was used.
Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
