Police Hoping To Identify Suspect In Two Different Hotel Robberies

SANDY, MIDVALE, UTAH – November 25, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Unified Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing two different hotels in early November.

According to Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell, police believe the two robberies were committed by the same suspect and have released photos in an effort to help identify him.

The first robbery occurred at the Hampton Inn at 10690 S. Holiday Park Drive in Sandy on November 4, 2015. The suspect walked in, handed the clerk a note and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, green baseball cap and khakis. The clerk also told officers the suspect walked with a unique stride.

On November 9, 2015, police believe the same suspect walked into the Staybridge Suites located at 747 W. Blue Vista Lane in Midvale and handed the clerk a threatening note demanding money. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, green baseball hat, a white polo shirt with black and orange stripes and stonewashed jeans with holes in them.
