MOUNT PLEASANT, Utah, April 1, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police officers investigating the suspicious death of a 34-year-old woman took her fiance into custody Saturday night.
According to a news release from Mount Pleasant Police Department, officers went to a residence at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday to investigate the death of Kammy Edmunds.
Police then issued an “attempt to locate” Edmunds’ car, a white 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. The vehicle was found in the Power Plant Park area east of Mount Pleasant.
The Alero had been driven off an embankment into a dry creek, where it was found by detectives with the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives processed the scene at the park, and the vehicle was then taken to an indoor location for further inspection.
As a result of the vehicle’s recovery and information that was learned during the investigation, police took Anthony Christensen, 35, into custody Saturday night. Christensen was Edmunds’ fiance.
The release states that the Sanpete County Attorney’s Office will review the case for specific charges.
