SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Transit Authority Police Chief has issued a statement regarding a maintenance worker who has not been seen or heard from since last Thursday.
“I would like to express my thanks for the continued support from the community in helping us locate Kay Ricks and the UTA truck he was driving,” UTA Police Chief Fred Ross said. “The widespread interest in finding Mr. Ricks is encouraging and we are asking people throughout the state to keep an eye out for him and his truck. We have nothing new to share at this time, but people should know the investigation continues in earnest.”
A news release issued by UTA Police Thursday said Ricks, 63, was last seen exiting I-15 at 600 South in Salt Lake City just after 4 p.m.
Ricks is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds with a bald head and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved plaid shirt, blue jeans and possibly a bright orange safety vest.
The truck Ricks was driving has also not been recovered. He was in his 2013 white Ford F-150 UTA maintenance vehicle that has a mounted equipment rack and UTA markings with Utah license plate number 206886EX.
