Police search for USU robbery suspect

LOGAN, Utah, Oct. 11, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob the Quickstop on Utah State University’s Logan campus Thursday evening.

The suspect attempted to take money from the cash register in the convenience store on the first floor of the Taggart Student Center at approximately 6 p.m., USU tweeted. He said he had a weapon, but none was seen.

Police describe the suspect as approximately 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He is seen in a surveillance photo wearing a black baseball cap with a tan patch and tan brim, a black hoodie and tan pants. He is wearing tan gloves and carrying a tan backpack, and the tweet said at the time of the robbery he was wearing a mask.

Anyone that recognizes the suspect is asked to call USU Police at 435-797-1939.
