UTAH – October 28, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — With Election Day in Utah just days away the U.S. Postal Service is reminding all voters participating in the state’s mail-in ballot process to mail in their ballots now.

“We are proud of mail’s widespread usage as an efficient and effective means for citizens to participate in the voting process,” said USPS District Manager Darrell Stoke. “The Postal Service anticipates a large influx of mail-in ballots this election season and we are ready to ensure every Utah vote is counted.”

According to Utah State Law, election ballots must be postmarked by Monday, November 2, 2015 in order to be counted. The Postal Service’s participation in Utah’s election process has helped enhance voter participation in the state while saving municipalities money.

“We are thrilled these cities have placed their faith, their vote, in the Postal Service when they allowed for this mail-in ballot system,” said Stoke. “We intend to deliver on that confidence.”
