PRICE, Utah, Oct. 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Price man allegedly sexually abused an 11-year–old girl while he was tattooing her, according to court documents.
A probable cause statement from the 7th District Court of Carbon County said Michael Easley, 24, is facing charges of:
- Sodomy on a child, first-degree felony
- Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class B misdemeanor
- Unlawful tattooing of a minor, a class B misdemeanor
The arresting officer wrote that he spoke with a concerned parent on the phone, who advised the officer that her granddaughter and her friend told her about Easley sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
“I spoke with the granddaughter and her friend and they told me what happened,” the statement said. “The two of them advised me that the victim told them in detail that Michael played with her breast, digitally penetrated her, and then forced her to perform oral sex on him.”
They also said that another one of their friends was at his home when it occurred and witnessed what occurred.
“They gave me the victim’s name and I went to her home and spoke with her,” the statement said. “I made contact with the victim and her friend; at first the victim denied that anything happened and stated that she never even went to Michael’s home. After not getting the victim to tell me anything, I proceeded to talk to the victim’s friend. She advised me that they were at Michael’s home Sunday and he was giving the victim a tattoo and that’s all she knows that happened.”
The friend also said she did not know what happened because she was playing on her phone.
“I then spoke with the victim again and I told her that her friend told me everything that happened,” the statement said. “This time the victim advised me what happened and gave me details about it. The victim stated that her and her friend went to Michael’s home to smoke weed and cigarettes. While there, Michael began giving the victim a tattoo on her breast.”
During that time, he started playing with the victim’s chest, he then digitally penetrated her, meaning he penetrated her with his finger or fingers, and then made her perform sex on him.
The victim and her friend then filled out a statement saying what had occurred.
Easley was taken into custody and transported to Carbon County Jail with his bail set at $31,360.
