PROVO, Utah, Nov. 10, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A traffic stop in Provo led to suspicious behavior from the driver and passengers, and the discovery of seven pounds of methamphetamine.

“During the early hours of this morning, Patrol Officer Robison conducted a stop on a vehicle for traffic violations,” a Provo Police news release says. “During the interaction, Officer Robison observed suspicious behavior among the driver and passengers.

“Due to admissions from a passenger, Officer Robison obtained probable cause for a vehicle search, which yielded a large quantity of bags filled with Methamphetamine totaling approximately seven pounds – a street value of around $115,000.”

A handgun also was found, the release says.

“It is suspected the drugs were being trafficked from California, through Utah on their way to a different destination. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for drug distribution/trafficking charges along with other related crimes. They were all booked into the Utah County Jail.

“Excellent catch and follow-through from Officer Robison!”
