Rock slide near Moab cleared, SR-128 now open to traffic

MOAB, Utah, March 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — State Route 128 is now open again after a large rockfall that occurred earlier Sunday has been cleared.

A Facebook post by Grand County Sheriff’s Office said Moab City Police Department, Utah Highway Patrol and Utah Department of Transportation “provided exceptional services to keep travelers safe while crews worked tirelessly to remove massive, RV-sized boulders from the road.

“We are extremely proud to serve alongside these agencies and would like to ask you to help us give them well-deserved recognition,” the post said.
