DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Roosevelt man died Tuesday when part of a service rig floor fell on him at an oilfield location in the Hancock Cove area of Duchesne County.

The deceased has been identified as Andrew Romero, 40, according to a news release from Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency personnel were called about 8 a.m. to a service, or workover, rig near 750 North and 3000 West, according to the news release.

Romero was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, per protocol.
