SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Drivers are being urged to avoid 500 South between 1100 East and 1300 East in Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon after a water main break.
A tweet from the SLC Department of Public Utilities said only one westbound lane is open in that area.
The tweet said a six-inch pipe, which is 112 years old, “gave out.”
“Water main repair work will go well into the night. Water off to north side of 500 South,” the tweet said.
Drivers are being urged to find alternate routes.
