SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 26, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City man allegedly stabbed his two sisters and threatened a third person, according to court documents.

A probable cause statement from the 3rd District Court of Salt Lake County said Abdullahi Mohammed Abdi, 30, is being charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony; aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony; and aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.

The statement said that officers responded to a stabbing that occurred at 3963 S. West Temple St. in an apartment Friday.

“Upon arriving victim two let me into residence, and I observed victim one screaming,” the arresting officer wrote. “I observed blood all over the floor of the apartment. Victim one had a blanket wrapped around her arm to stop the bleeding.”

The victims both said the suspect grabbed a knife from the sink and attacked them with it.

The victims gave the officers the suspect’s information and told them he was their sibling and had left the scene in the first victim’s car.

Both victims were transported to St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City by ground ambulance.

Dispatch put out an ATL (attempt to locate) for the suspect and the vehicle the suspect was driving.

Abdi, the suspect, was located in the area of 3605 S. State St, the statement said.

“The suspect had approached a third victim at this location after fleeing from 3963 S. West Temple,” the statement said. “When the suspect approached the victim he demanded gas money, which the victim denied, and suspect pulled out a knife.”

The third victim was not injured, officials said.

The suspect was taken into custody by South Salt Lake and Unified Police Department officers.

Abdi was transported to the Salt Lake County Jail with his bail set at $20,000.
