SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Drivers are facing delays Wednesday afternoon as all ramps to eastbound Intrastate 80 are closed due to a semi rollover.
A tweet from Utah Highway Patrol at 4:10 p.m. said the rollover is at Interstate 15 southbound to I-80 eastbound.
“All ramps to eastbound I-80 are closed to include I-15 northbound, I-15 southbound and SR-201 collectors,” the tweet said. “Getting reports of a grass fire, but the fire on the semi has been put out.”
The semi is showing a 1.4 placard for explosives, which generally shows explosives with a major fire hazard, the tweet said, but the “trailer just has a small amount of commercial blasting caps inside. Hence, the need for the placard. No threat to the public.”
