SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 6, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Homicide Squad is investigating the fatal shooting of a man first found unresponsive in a Glendale area apartment building after a call to dispatch just before midnight on Monday.
Officers responded to the 11:54 p.m. call, and went to the apartment, at 1600 Snow Queen Place.
“Officers responded and found a 41-year-old man with a life-threatening gunshot wound,” the SLCPD news release says.
Despite life-saving efforts, the victim died at the scene.
“No arrests have been made. There is no suspect information for public release at this time,” the police news release says.
“The specific circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. However, this appears to be an isolated incident. There does not appear to be an imminent danger to the community.

This is the seventh confirmed homicide this year in Salt Lake City.
