SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Aug. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking the public’s help in finding a missing and endangered 12-year-old girl.
South Salt Lake Police public information officer Gary Keller said 12-year-old Asiah Mister was first reported missing by her grandmother at 12:45 a.m. Thursday when she did not return to her home at the River Run Condos 3800 S. Carlisle 965 West.
According to the grandmother, Asiah left home around 4 p.m. to meet an unknown female friend at a nearby Maverik Convenience Store
“At approximately 10 p.m. Asiah’s 11-year-old brother contacted his sister on social and was told she was on her way home.” Keller said. “When she did not return the grandmother called South Salt Lake Police who began an endangered missing child investigation.”
Police searched the area near here home in the area surrounding the condos, but had no success.
“At 2:20 a.m., investigators were able to get a location at Asiah’s Wi-FI phone in the area of 4600 South and 2930 West. Unfortunately the phone was turned off and the signal was lost,” Keller said.
Asiah is described as a 12-year-old female, five feet tall, 90 pounds, with black hair worn in a ponytail.
She was last seen wearing a lavender shirt with multi-color Llamas and four squares; light blue jeans; and gray fuzzy slippers.
