ST. GEORGE, Utah, June 15, 2022 (Gephardt Daily) — St. George police asked a number of local businesses to lockdown Wednesday night while officers searched the area for a pizza shop robbery suspect.
The hold-up of the Pizza Hut at 1930 W. Sunset Blvd., took place at approximately 6:45 p.m., according to a departmental post on social media.
“The suspect told employees that he had a gun while he kept his hand in his waistband, at no time did he produce a weapon,” according to the statement.
It included a detailed description of the robber, “described as a white male 6’0” with a medium build, wearing a royal blue polo type shirt, having curly black hair which may beĀ  thinning or balding at the crown of his head, wearing dark pants and dark shoes, and a faded forest green bucket-type hat.
“During the investigation officers learned the suspect took off the royal blue shirt revealing a gray shirt with a white logo and lots of writing on it.”
Officers patrolled the area and nearby businesses were alerted and asked to lock down and be vigilant until the situation was stabilized, according to the release. They have since reopened.
No injuries were reported.
