Summit County Sheriff searching for man accused of identity theft, fraud

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Summit County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man suspected of identity theft and fraud.

“He has entered several businesses in the Summit County area and applied for lines of credit with a fake ID and a social security number belonging to another person,” the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

The man is bald and has a dark beard, is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs approximately 250 pounds, and was wearing glasses in a surveillance photo provided by officials. He is wearing a gray shirt and black pants in the photo.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has information about him is asked to call Summit County Sheriff’s officials at 435-615-3583.
