SPANISH FORK, Utah, July 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An 18-year-old Idaho man was killed Friday in a crash in Spanish Fork.
The accident happened about 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 6 and Expressway Lane.
Police told Gephardt Daily the teen was headed northbound when he hit a GMC pickup truck that was waiting to make a left turn.
The 18-year-old was taken to Utah Valley Hospital in extremely critical condition and succumbed to his injuries a short while later.
The 71-year-old driver of the GMC was taken to UVH with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the teen is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
