Tooele County’s Stookey Fire estimated at 300 acres

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, July 11, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Stookey Fire, west of Vernon in Tooele County, is now estimated at 300 acres.

No structures are threatened, Utah Fire Info says.

“Hot, dry weather with very low RH continues tonight, but calm winds will aid ground/air crews,” the statement says.

“On scene: one dozer, seven engines, two water tenders, and two helitack crews supporting with three assets.”

The fire, discovered Friday, is uncontained.
