Two SLC Stabbings Ensue Within an Hour of Each Other
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – June 30, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — SLCPD reports two men have been transported to local hospitals after being stabbed during separate incidents.
The first stabbing was reported at around 9:45 p.m. near 520 S. 400 West. Two men got into a dispute over a bicycle and a struggle ensued. During the struggle the suspect stabbed the other man.
The suspect then fled north on 400 West. The victim is describing the suspect as a Hispanic male adult, around 25 years of age, 6 feet tall, with short hair and a slender build. The suspect was wearing either a gray or blue shirt.
The second aggravated assault stabbing was reported to officers by witnesses who were saying that a man was walking on the sidewalk when a male suspect came up behind the man and grabbed him.
There was a struggle and the victim was stabbed by the suspect. The suspect then took off into the Temple Square area. There was a surveillance video from an LDS security camera which showed that the suspect changed his shirt form a white tank top to a black t-shirt.
The suspect was last seen exiting Temple Square at the Main Street and South Temple. He is described as a Caucasian male in his 40’s with short brown hair, a black t-shirt, blue jeans and a black backpack.
Both of the victims have been transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
