UHP: 2 injured in rollover crash involving Fed Ex truck on I-80 in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, June 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol investigators are on the scene of a rollover accident involving a passenger vehicle and a Fed Ex truck on Interstate 80 in Summit County.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Tera Wahlberg told Gephardt Daily the crash happened around 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes near milepost 183, 3 miles east of Emory.

According to Wahlberg, two males were injured when the passenger vehicle rolled. They were taken to a local hospital, although there was no information on their conditions.

The Fed Ex driver escaped uninjured.

No word yet on the cause of the crash.

At least one lane of westbound traffic was reopened by 5:30 a.m. The rest of the lanes were expected to reopen by 8:30 a.m.
