MAGNA, Utah, Aug. 22, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred Thursday night in Magna.
First responders were dispatched to 2910 South 8400 West at about 10:58 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 70-year-old man who had been struck by a small four-door passenger vehicle.
Unified police officers worked with medical personnel from the Unified Fire Authority, performing CPR in an attempt to save the man, who died at the scene, according to Unified Police Department public information officer Sgt. Aymee Race.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The Crash Analysis Reconstruction team were expected to at the incident site for several hours. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
