MAGNA, Utah, Jan. 30, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Unified Police officer escaped unhurt after losing control of his vehicle in icy winter weather Saturday.

According to Unified Police Sgt. Bob Rogers, the accident happened at 11500 West at State Road 201 early Saturday afternoon when officers were assisting Utah Highway Patrol on reports of a possible fight.

Rogers said it’s still unclear exactly what happened, but the officer lost control of his vehicle and wrecked after possibly encountering slush.

He said UHP will be investigating the incident and more information will be released as it becomes available.
