SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City Police have confirmed the semi-driver who hit a woman while riding her bicycle Thursday morning has been located.
SLCPD Detective Dennis McGowan said a 25-year-old female was hit around 8:30 a.m., while riding her bicycle at the intersection of 400 West 300 North and was taken by ambulance in very critical condition to a local hospital.
Witnesses had described the truck as red with a long flatbed trailer and Detective McGowan said detectives were able to locate the driver Thursday and have interviewed him. “While the investigation is still ongoing, we are not able to disclose details of the interview,” McGowan said. “The driver is however, cooperating and continuing to work with our detectives.”
McGowan said te woman has since been upgraded to stable condition and is doing very well.
No citations have been issued at this time.
