UTAH, Dec. 1, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health reported 19 more COVID-19 deaths and 2,510 newly documented cases in the past 24 hours, and 575 coronavirus cases currently hospitalized.
Utah’s total death toll from the virus now stands at 890. Total positive cases documented since the beginning of the outbreak now number 198,216. Cumulative hospitalizations number 8,279.
The deaths documented in the past day were of 12 men and seven women:
- A Box Elder County man, 45 and 64, hospitalized at time of death
- A Cache County man, older than 85, not hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County woman between 65 and 84, not hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County woman, older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Salt Lake County man between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County man, 45 to 64, hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County woman, older than 85, hospitazed
- A Utah County woman between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Utah County woman, older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Utah County man, 25 to 44, hospitalized
- Two Utah County men between 65 and 84, residents of long-term care facilities
- A Utah County man older than 85, hospitalized
- A Utah County man, older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Utah County woman, older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Washington County man, 65 to 84, not hospitalized
- A Washington County man, older than 85, 65 to 84, hospitalized
- A Weber County woman, 45 to 64, not hospitalized
- A Weber County woman between 65 and 84, hospitalized
To date, 1,432,225 COVID-19 tests were administered in Utah. Of those, 9,146 tests were given in the past 24 hours.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 2,292 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 22.1%.
