Utah, Nov. 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to nearly  150 crashes before 6 p.m. Monday.

“Troopers have investigated 53 crashes as of 11 a.m. today,” said a tweet from UHP at 11:10 a.m. “This is definitely not the day to risk driving on bald tires.”

A follow-up tweet at 5 p.m. said: “Troopers have investigated 147 crashes statewide so far today. As you are driving the state’s roadways, be mindful of slick/icy spots now that the temperature is dropping. Slow down and give yourself the time necessary to react appropriately.”

Utah Highway Patrol also tweeted Sunday night:

“Snow is in the forecast. If you are heading out, please: Buckle up. Slow down. Increase your following distance. Give yourself extra time. And DON’T DRIVE IMPAIRED.”

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as more crash totals are made available.
