SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 10, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Mammoth have clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Utah secured the postseason spot Thursday night with a 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators, combined with the Anaheim Ducks’ victory over the San Jose Sharks.

The Mammoth are just the third team in the past 45 years to reach the playoffs within their first two seasons, joining the Vegas Golden Knights (2017-18) and Seattle Kraken (2022-23).

Utah (42-30-6, 90 points) ranks among Western Conference leaders, with 32 regulation wins — third-most in the conference — and a plus-34 goal differential, according to a Mammoth press release.

Heading into Saturday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Mammoth hold the first wild card spot in the Western Conference with four games remaining. Utah could finish in either the first or second wild card position.

The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs are scheduled to begin April 18, though the NHL has not yet announced the full first-round schedule.

Single-game tickets for first-round home playoff games go on sale Friday, the team said. Presale access begins at 9:30 a.m. MDT for fans using the Utah Mammoth app with linked SeatGeek accounts and enabled notifications. Tickets will be available to the general public at 10 a.m.

Seating options include club, lower bowl, upper bowl and single-goal view tickets.
